Over the last 15 years, Erin has owned and operated performing arts businesses in three different parts of the country, teaching young performers the art of musical theatre. She has also directed and choreographed dozens of musicals, summer camps and original musical revues with children from kindergarten through high school. Throughout her 20 years of working in educational theater, Erin has been acting both onstage and in front of the camera in commercials, industrials and film.
Locally, she has worked with Playmakers Repertory Company, The Arts Center, the Youth Performing Arts Conservatory, Community Chorus Project and the Chatham Arts Council. She is thrilled to be a recent transplant to Chapel Hill and hopes to be teaching theatre for years to come.
When not acting, singing and dancing, Erin teaches yoga and pilates and loves watching Tarheel basketball at home with her husband, Brian and her children, Josie and Mitchell.
Melanie will manage Broadway Bound’s Business Administration, assisting with all the nuances a growing business presents.
Having started her career in Sports, Melanie continues to be an avid sports fan in her spare time with special ties to her beloved Syracuse Orange Athletics. Melanie lives in Chapel Hill with her husband, and college sweetheart Kheley, and their twins Kaleb and Mackenzie.
MeLinda Buleza graduated from Keene State College with a BS in Education and has taught in a wide variety of educational settings. Her experience includes traditional and exceptional education ranging from elementary school to young adults. She enjoys working with students of all ages. In addition to teaching, MeLinda has become an integral part of costuming Broadway Bound performances and has knack for creating a costume out of nothing. The scope and depth of her costume designs help contribute to the overall story-line and characterization of Broadway Bound performances.
MeLinda lives in Chapel Hill with her husband and daughters. She loves hunting for vintage items with her family. We are thrilled to have MeLinda as part of our teaching staff as she will be assisting with our Saturday Showstoppers classes.
Angela was chosen to participate in The Drama League of New York’s Directors Project, traveling to New York to work with NYU students and to direct productions for the Hangar Theatre.
After becoming a licensed full-time music and theatre teacher, Angela received a Fulbright Memorial Fund Teaching award and was able to travel to Japan to study culture and education.Over the past twenty years, Angela has managed multiple performing arts camps, class programs, show choirs and has directed over twenty children’s productions. Influenced by jazz, blues, gospel and Southern rock, Carrie’s blue-eyed soul “rewards listeners with eloquent compositions intertwined with cool phrasing, smooth vocals and a signature down-to-earth touch.” Named one of North Carolina’s Top Charlotte Vocalists in 2012 by the Carolina Entertainment Network, seasoned vocalist Carrie Marshall has performed at a variety of stages across New England and the Carolinas, including such notable events as the Democratic National Convention. Top 10 finalist in the 2014 UK Songwriting Competition as well as NC Songwriter’s Co-Op Singer/Songwriter of the year in 2010, Carrie’s award-winning original music can be heard on Pandora radio and iTunes.

Leigha Vilen’s passion for theater started at the age of 10, when she was cast as the title role in Playmakers Repertory Company’s first ever Summer Youth Conservatory production of “Oliver!”. Born in Denver, CO, she moved to Chapel Hill, NC at the age of four and hasn’t left yet. She is currently a junior at UNC-Chapel Hill, studying Dramatic Arts and Health Policy and Management. In addition to theater, Leigha works as an educator with Morehead Planetarium and Science Center, facilitating science education programs for kids of all ages and lighting things on fire in front of audiences. In her spare time, Leigha enjoys exploring the great outdoors with her favorite canine companion, Pepe.
