Musical Theatre 101

Musical Theatre 101 was first launched this Fall as the series that provides aspiring performers an opportunity to enhance specific training and technique in singing, dancing and acting. This series offers 2 different classes with a slightly different format, focusing on the specific theater disciplines including: acting, improv, vocal and stage movement, breathing, pitch, choreography, vocabulary, and so much more. Musical Theatre 101 is open to all levels of performers who are looking to hone in on the technique and how those disciplines work on stage.

Thursday, February 5th – Thursday, April 9 th (no class April 2 nd )
Southern Village Clubhouse

  • Song & Dance “Fairy Tales” – Cost: $200 3 rd – 6 th Grades  3:30pm – 4:30pm
  • Actor’s Studio “Fairy Tales” – Cost: $200 3 rd – 6 th Grades  4:30pm – 5:30pm

Although the focus of this series is on technique, your performer will still have the opportunity to present their skills in a final performance. Musical Theatre 101 will perform an end of semester Showcase featuring the disciplines learned within both classes. Once Upon a time Musical Theatre 101 will present their craft in musical numbers inspired by the magic, mystery and happy endings of Fairy Tales.

FINAL SHOWCASE: Thursday, April 16 th @ 7pm (Dress Rehearsal 5:00-6:30) at Culbreth Middle School
